Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital’s Surgery Department is looking for a full -time Central Supply, Specialty Clinic & Scrub Technician.

Position Overview

Assist with the nursing care of patients in the OR & Specialty Clinics by performing routine and delegated duties according to the standards of practice and policies of the hospital and department. Perform scrub duties and related procedures.  Assist the circulating RN as requested. Performs housekeeping duties as necessary and assists in maintenance of all supplies and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·      Work together with nurse to check-in patients on specialty clinic and OR procedure days.

·      Stock and clean outpatient rooms weekly and after cases.

·      Clean central service autoclave per policy.

·      Run and document weekly test packs for CS weekly.

·      Clean and Stock IV carts, Porta Cath cart and procedure IV trays weekly and as needed.

·      Assist with stocking and ordering supplies for Nursing Supply, procedure, OR and CS rooms.

·      Clean storage areas (CS, and nursing supply room) monthly, remove damaged and or outdated items.

·      Clean and process endoscopes per policy.

·      Assist with immediately cleaning outpatient prep rooms, procedure rooms and OR after use and prepare for next case.

·      Assist with trash and laundry removal, as needed on procedure days.

·      Assist OR supervisor with departmental QI and QA data and information

·      Assist with scheduling and instructing patients for procedures.

·      Accept other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Minimum CNA or Scrub Technician Certification Required.

·         Prior experience in Operating Room procedure preferred.

·         CPR certification required.

·         Intermediate computer knowledge and the ability to learn systems used.
