Overview

Smith County Memorial Hospital is a 16-bed Critical Access Hospital with an attached Rural Health Clinic. The director of IT serves as the leader and primary resource for all technology-related resources and strategies for the entire organization. The director works collaboratively with all department managers and staff as the primary resource for all technology-related activities. The successful candidate for this position must have a minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a healthcare environment and must have previous supervisory or management experience. Educational requirements are negotiable but must include postsecondary education in information technology, network architecture, and management. Must have a demonstrated record of collaborative service and the ability to work collaboratively with all departments regarding technology needs and systems. The director maintains excellent working relationships with all staff members, providers, and managers to accomplish organizational objectives. The director acts as an educational resource to all staff to help them understand the application of technology to accomplish workflows.
