About RCIS
Our Parent Company
Zurich American Insurance Company (Zurich), is a leading commercial property-casualty insurance provider serving small businesses, mid-size and large companies, including multinational corporations. Zurich has been in the U.S. crop insurance business for more than 20 years, and understands the importance of farmers and the agriculture industry to the American economy.
When Zurich purchased the RCIS crop insurance business in 2016, it shifted its long-standing position from reinsurer to full owner of an approved crop insurance provider (AIP) through the federal crop insurance program.
