JOB TITLE: Foundation Director

DEPARTMENT: Administration

JOB SUMMARY:
Phillips County Health Systems is seeking a dynamic Foundation Director to lead the development and growth of our foundation. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with strong community engagement skills and a proven track record in fundraising and organizational development. As a leader, you will guide initiatives to improve operational efficiency, patient care, and community impact while fostering relationships with PCHS team members, key partners, stakeholders, donors, and the community.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:

  • Demonstrated success in fundraising and donor campaign management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to foster and sustain relationships with key partners, stakeholders, and donors.
  • Experience in grant writing and knowledge of estate planning and charitable giving opportunities, or the ability to learn and communicate these objectives.
  • A passion for making a positive impact on individuals’ lives and communities through transformative change.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.)

Hospital Foundation and Fundraising:

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic projects to improve operational efficiency, patient care, and organizational performance.
  • Implement process improvements, including staffing strategies and workflow models.
  • Create detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and action items, and monitor progress to ensure successful implementation and completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery and alignment with organizational objectives.

Community Engagement:

  • Foster strong relationships with the community, stakeholders, and partners to support the foundation’s goals.
  • Represent the foundation at community events and meetings to enhance its visibility and impact.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in project management and fundraising, preferably in a healthcare organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

EQUIPMENT:

  • Must be able to use smartphones, computers, printers, scanners, and Microsoft Office software.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Demonstrate highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-directed and good judgment in handling difficult situations.
  • Good organizational, time management, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • May be required to work occasional evenings and weekends as events or project needs demand.
