Donor Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a full-time, Donor Engagement Specialist. This position is responsible for the fundraising plans and activities for our organization, under the direction of our executive director. This includes identifying potential donors; making daily calls and in-person visits with current and prospective donors; planning and scheduling fundraising campaigns and events; writing grants; and soliciting for sponsorships and gifts. This individual will have an integral and aggressive role in building the funding to help support, advance, and sustain Nex-Generation’s programs throughout northwest and north central Kansas. He or she will also be responsible for building and sustaining positive relationships and telling the Nex-Gen story.

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, public relations, philanthropic studies, leadership, or a related field, or the equivalent work experiences, plus previous fundraising experience. Individuals currently completing Bachelor’s degree requirements may be considered. Position may be either remote within the 28 counties we serve or onsite at our office in Lenora. Chosen candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check. He or she must possess a valid, Kansas driver’s license and be able to travel to multiple locations to conduct or participate in Nex-Gen’s programs and activities; to attend community events, meetings, or conferences; and to solicit for donations and sponsorships.
