City of Quinter Recreation – Nex-Generation Internship

Interns will perform a variety of general duties related to maintenance, upkeep, construction and repair of the City Park, athletic fields, buildings, and landscaped areas. The interns will maintain grounds by mowing, trimming, weeding, and grooming. They will operate small equipment, such as mowers, chainsaws, backhoes, skid steers, and various hand tools*. They will install and repair irrigation/sprinkler systems and perform preventative routine maintenance on all equipment and vehicles. They will also assist in preparation for and clean-up after special events. Students must be able to work evenings and weekends to supervise and umpire games.
*Students must be age 18 or over to use specific types of equipment.
