Bright Beginnings Child Development Center is searching for its next program director. The ideal candidate will be an experienced childcare professional who wants to make a difference in our community and who will inspire our children to become lifelong learners.
Bright Beginnings Child Development Center is a non-profit childcare center operated by Smith County Childcare Development, Inc. Our state-licensed facility is located at 119 E Parliament in Smith Center and has the capacity to serve up to 53 children between the ages of 2 weeks and 12 years. Facilities licensed for more than 24 children shall have a program director who meets the minimum qualification requirements of training and experience in KAR 28-4-429.
This full-time, salaried position reports to the board of directors. Key areas of responsibility include delivering on our mission to provide high-quality child-development services to Smith County; maintaining state licensing for the facility and staff; managing daily operations; hiring, training and supervising staff and volunteers; communicating regularly with parents and working closely with board members and the community.
The position offers a base salary of $35,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, with paid time off and discounted childcare tuition. Successful candidates for the position who move to Smith County may be eligible for a one-time, $8,000 recruitment incentive.
